The Dodson Lady Coyotes basketball team fell in their three home games last week in Dodson.
The Lady Coyotes lost 63-29 to the Harlem Wildcat JV team on Thursday, January 9, 60-17 to the Lustre Lady Lions on Friday, January 10, and 59-20 to the Frazer Bearcubs on Saturday, January 11.
The Lady Coyotes battled hard in their matchup against Harlem's JV team, but the team lost their most experienced starter, junior Jazlyn KilllEagle with three minutes remaining in the first half.
The Lady Coyotes were led in scoring by sophomore Precious Stiffarm who had an 11 point, 11 rebound double-double. Stiffarm also had four steals and four blocks.
KillEagle scored five points. Eighth-grader Tissie Webb had five points, six rebounds, two assists, and one steal. Sophomore Kyra Campbell had five points and seven rebounds. Eighth-grader Mahina CutsTheRope had three points and three rebounds. Bentlie Ereaux had one rebound and an assist.
Webb led the Lady Coyotes in their loss to Lustre with seven points and three steals. Campbell had five points. Ereaux had three points. Stiffarm had two points, nine rebounds, three steals and one block. CutsTheRope had three rebounds.
Webb led the Lady Coyotes in their loss to Frazer scoring 15 of Dodson's 20 points. Campbell had two points, Stiffarm had two points, and Ereaux had one point.
The Dodson teams are scheduled to travel for both of their games this week. On Friday, January 17, Dodson will head to Box Elder to take on the Box Elder JV team. The games start at 5 p.m. Dodson will then travel to Circle to take on the Circle Wildcats on Saturday, January 18, starting with a boys' JV game at 2:30 p.m.
