Loring/Affinity News, January 8, 2025

Welcome to 2025! Winter has made an appearance! Snow has piled up in Billings, about 6 inches here at Affinity. Not so much at Loring, less than an inch. But I’m sure that it will be coming!

On Saturday Rodney and Zoey picked me up to take me to the basketball game at RMC. My goal was to watch Paige Wasson play with her team. I was surprised when I realized that the opponent was Montana Tech. So Kia Wasson was also playing! What excitement! Sister against sister! And when the Wasson boosters started into the stadium, it was a river of green and gold t-shirts with a special logo including both teams! TJ stopped by us to visit, and said they had made a trip to the Mavericks game in Circle then drove to Billings, so many basketball miles! Oh yes, the Bears won the game, but the Diggers gave them a good fight!

Condolences to the Obie family. Kathy is celebrating with Jesus and Ken now! She had such faith, never down, always making me feel uplifted by her faith! I’ll miss visiting with her.

Pete Lumsden had shoulder surgery before Christmas and he’s recuperating now. Hope you are 100% soon, Pete!
