Mavericks Head Coach Chad Bowman was asked about the key to their win over Dodson.

"Good ball movement and just playing defense," Coach Bowman said. "Being patient and trying to hit some shots. I guess it was just trying to keep things basic."

He was asked about the team's slow start against Dodson and how they were able to turn things around.

"I think that maybe they were starting to worry about Christmas break a little bit too soon," Coach Bowman said. "So, after that first quarter they got into a little bit more basketball mode and our ball movement was better and our rebounding was better. Our rebounding really bailed us out because we didn't really shoot that well."

In North Country's win over Frazer, Albus had 14 points, Erickson had 12 points, Sam Simonson had 11 points, Bowman had nine points, Brown had seven points, Strommen had six points, Downing had six points, and Henshew had four points.

"They're all pretty young," Coach Bowman said of Frazer. "So that, and then they only had 6 kids. Needless to say, we've probably had a foot on everyone on the floor. They have got a lot of young talent for Frazer, they just need another year or two to grow up and mature."

In Dodson's loss to Scobey, Stiffarm had six points, Posey had five points, LoneBear had five points, Cole had three points, B. Jones had two points, and KillEagle had two points.
