One Nation, Under God
Rhei Tharp, owner of KMMR Mustang Radio, has several projects in the makings that are worth sharing.
The first shareable word is that the 2024 Holiday Concert programs have been or are to be recorded and Tharp states he is in the process of editing. At this time, there are several concerts yet to be performed, and once they are done, he will produce CD’s that will be available if someone would like to listen to the youth and the concerts of choirs and bands.
Tharp was asked to confirm the word “on the streets” and around town and at coffee gatherings, that also in the works is a new national anthem for airing on the KMMR Mustang Radio for the opening sound to get your day started on the right foot, and at the close of the day, when you lay your head to rest.
What is unique about the national anthem will be a blend of choir groups in Phillips County with the high schools of Dodson, Whitewater, Saco and Malta being recorded as one voice to fill the airwaves in unison.
At this time, there is a bit of holiday razzle dazzle and rush going on, and once things slow down, the voices will be recorded with the assistance of Mrs. Janell McKenney assisting with the arranging of time, schedules, availability and actual recording.
