For November 27
Here in Whitewater, there was Turkey Bingo and a dinner. Turkeys and prizes were won. Fun!
Football and volleyball are over, now basketball and wrestling will start soon.
The ranchers have a break in work, as the weather has been beautiful. But last night we did have some rain and heavy wind.
We seniors sure enjoy the North 40 senior meals on Wednesday.
Dixie Stordahl, who lives in Billings now, was a guest at the lunch.
She came for the Wine and Dino at the Great Plains Dinosaur Museum
Lulebell Besel is part of the group that helps at the museum.
Others at the meal were Erna Schlieve, Al Knoll, and Lorraine Watson. She is the grandmother of Brianna Brooks of Whitewater. Lorraine's husband Tom played music. We are glad to have guests. Meals are $7.00 for Seniors. The North 40 still has a small library where you can help yourself to books.
There is a house for sale here in Whitewater. It is Linda Bergs house and is a very nice 3 bedroom, with garage and green house. I think it is being sold by United Reality of Malta.
Well Thanksgiving is fast approaching. Be prepared and be thankful.

Sympathy to the victims of war everywhere.
It is November, its hard to believe but Thanksgiving will be here soon.
It has been a nice warm fall.
There was turkey bingo and a dinner at the Whitewater school. It was well attended and many won turkeys or other prizes.
Thanksgiving is a time to think about family, no matter where they are.
My children have all grown and moved away. Teresa lives in Swift Current, Canada, Mitchell lives in Seattle Washington, Gale lives in Saco.
I have three granddaughters and four great grandchildren, (three girls and one boy). I plan to visit them soon.
Here’s hoping you see your family over the holidays.
Of course, we eat a lot.
Here’s a recipe for Hot Buns.
Ingredients:
2.C. Milk
1/4 c. of shortening
1 pkg of yeast
1/2 cup of warm water
1 tsp. Sugar
1/2 tsp. Of salt
And about 7 cups of flour
Scald milk, add to shortening, in large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar. Let set 10 minutes. Add beaten egg, sugar and salt to milk mixture. Fold in yeast.
Add cups of flour. Continue adding flour until dough doesn’t stick to sides o bowl.
Cover and let rise until double in size.
Punch down and form into rolls the size of an egg. Let them double in size again, Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
For November 13
The elections of 2024 are over. I came away unhappy with the results, but I voted anyway.
Happy Birthday to all November birthdays, Margie of Whitewater, Joyce Austin Donovan of Kremlin, and Pat Donich of Kremlin. Also, to all who are celebrating anniversaries.
Here in Whitewater, the weather is beautiful for fall. There are hunters from all over. Be careful of guns, and not start fires.
Jeanie Green is back. Her son Dale Green is visiting and hunting.
There was a birthday party for Margie Olsen of Whitewater. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren attended.

Linda Berg's house in Whitewater is for sale now. The house is very nice.
Here is a recipe for Berry Jam:
Ingredients: 5 cups of rhubarb chopped.
4 cups of sugar
20 oz. Package of jello
Cook rhubarb and sugar together until rhubarb is soft, add jello. Mix and pour into jars and refrigerate.
