One Nation, Under God
It was no easy task by any means, however, with the experienced team of auxiliary members, Legion members, Sons of the Legion and volunteers, the 2024 VFW Veterans Day Dinner was served and is now a memory. VFWA President Michelle Stevens and her committee planned the dinner of tater tot casserole, fruit cups, and fresh vegetable trays. To conclude the meal, cupcakes laden with red, white or blue frosting were served. The local Cub Scouts, leaders, parents and volunteers were a tremendous assistance with serving the meal. About 25-30 veterans attended, 30 guests, and 30 troopers. Shirley Reynolds, VFW Chaplain, worked at the registration table and Sharon Kindle, American Legion Chaplain, opened the evening gathering with a prayer.
Department President for the State of Montana, Carolyn Schmoeckel, and Stevens gave a presentation on Veterans Day.
To all our veterans, especially those who are serving today, our thanks for your service.
