One Nation, Under God

James Roman Losleben

(February 1953 – November 1, 2024)

James Roman Losleben, known to many as Jim, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2024, in Kalispell, Montana, surrounded by family and close friends. Born in Montana in February of 1953 to Barb and Romie Losleben, Jim grew up with strong family ties and a deep love for the outdoors.

After graduating from vo tech school, Jim dedicated his life to hard work and craftsmanship. He built and ran a construction company for over forty years, a company known for its quality work and integrity. He was proud to work alongside his son, RJ, whom he trained to carry on the family trade.

Jim was a straightforward, generous man, always ready to lend a hand to those in need. He valued family, friendship, and the satisfaction of a job well done. In his downtime, Jim enjoyed simple pleasures: time with loved ones, a good cigar, and an ice-cold beer. His love for the outdoors, especially fishing, began in his youth and continued throughout his life, later sharing that passion with his grandson, James.

Jim leaves behind a large family who loved him deeply: his siblings, Debra Losleben Fleming, Tom Losleben, and Joan Hall; former wife Robin Simanton and their children, Heather Losleben Zeller (Willie), RJ Losleben, Michelle Losleben (David Boies), former wife Sundee Linstead and his adopted children Sky Losleben, and Alyson Losleben; and grandchildren, Hunter, Autumn, Ezra, Layla, Beau, James, and Jacob. He also leaves behind countless friends who were like family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Romie and Barb Losleben, and his brother, Richard “Rick” Losleben.

Jim was a hardworking, humble man whose legacy will live on in the values he instilled in his family. He will be missed.

Jim’s funeral will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025. Condolences may be sent to Heather Losleben-Zeller, 742 7th Ave North, Glasgow, MT 59230.
