One Nation, Under God
Tomorrow (Tuesday, Nov. 5) is Election Day. I went down to the Courthouse to register on Tuesday. I thought I had registered in June, but they didn’t have my name. So next week we’ll find out who will be leading our country for the next four years.
My granddaughter Zoey and I went to the pool on Saturday and guess who was there! I’ll tell you! Joe and Jeanette Depuydt were visiting Jean Depuydt who resides here at Affinity. Jordy, their grandson, was already in the pool. Joe is a good conversationalist so we reminisced a lot of memories! Such fun!
Billings got a pretty good frost this week. I had cleaned up my garden and just had my chocolate cherry tomato on my deck. I did pick the green tomatoes and brought them in to ripen. I love the taste of the chocolate cherry tomatoes. I got my seedlings from Denise Watkins at the end of May!
Hunters are definitely looking to fill their game animal tags! Several antelope have been taken out. Congrats to the Lady Mavericks Volleyball team on their third place at district. Good luck at Divisional! I see that Keira Simonson is running the barrels on a new horse, Rowdy! She had a professional rodeo this last weekend. Congrats to her. I remember talking to her about goals and becoming a professional barrel racer was her goal! Following her dreams.
Rodney and I joined his family at Zoeys first basketball game on Saturday at the Y. The game was interesting and
Zoey’s team came out on top. There are so many games being played at the same time. Those coaches and referees are to be admired!
Have a safe week!
