Malta Volunteer Fire Department News

10/07/24 @ 7:23pm. MFD was paged to a fire at the Dodson dumps. 3 trucks and 5 firefighters responded.

10/15/24 @ 12:36pm. MFD was paged to a structure fire in Zortman, enroute the crew was notified that the fire is spreading into the grass and timber. 4 trucks and 9 firefighters from Malta responded, 2 trucks from Zortman Fire, 2 engines from the BLM, 1 engine from Ft. Belknap, Phillips County Ambulance, Phillips County Sheriff’s Office, and FWP Law Enforcement. All trucks/firefighters were back in Malta by 4pm.

Later that night we trained on vehicle extrication with newer firefighters.

Sunday 10/20/24 @ 1:53pm. MFD was paged to a vehicle fire west of Malta on HWY 2. 8 firefighters and 4 trucks responded.
