Mustangs Down Wolves 46-8

The Malta Mustangs Football team (7-0) picked up a 46-8 victory over the Wolf Point Wolves last Friday, October 11, in Wolf Point.

Malta, the first ranked team in Class B, will take on the Cut Bank Wolves on Friday, October 18, in Malta.

In the Mustangs' win over Wolf Point, senior quarterback Stockton Oxarart led the charge with 333 yards and four touchdowns. He completed 13-of-18 of his throws. He had a quarterback rating of 153.9.

Freshman Kazner Oxarart was 2-for-3 for 65 yards.

Senior Treyton Wilke had 54 rushing yards and one touchdown on three carries.

Freshman Hoyt Mahan had two carries for 15 yards. Senior Blaine Downing had five carries for 14 yards.

Junior Trooper Stiles had two touchdowns and 96 yards on four receptions. Junior Dawson Hammond had four catches for 111 yards. Downing had one catch for 60 yards. Wilke had three catches for 56 yards and a touchdown. Mason Simanton had one catch for a 10 yard touchdown. Freshman Kruise Stiles had one catch for five yards.

Junior Landon Retan had a team-leading 14 tackles (10 solo). Wilke had seven tackles. Downing had six tackles. Simantan, Laytin Erickson, Straud Sims, and Kenan LaBrie each had five tackles. Rylee Brusse and Skylar Gilkerson both had four tackles.

Wilke had an 26-yard interception for a touchdown. T. Stiles had one interception that he returned for 47 yards.

Retan made 4-of-6 PAT.
