One Nation, Under God

Loring/Affinity News for Wednesday, October 2, 2024

My goodness, Mother Nature has changed her nature! Yesterday on September 29 the temperature was so high it broke a record here in Billings. I know Malta had record highs also!

But today the cold wind from the northwest is chilly! The sun is shining so I’m optimistic that it’ll be a bit warmer, but not above 70!

With autumn on the way, or already here, my little farm will need to be cleaned up soon. I’m still harvesting my cherry tomatoes, peppers, and cantaloupe. I have two potato plants that I’ll dig up and my flowers and save some seed.

My son Rod brought two buttercup squash that are delicious! He had quite a crop this year!

Affinity fixed the soffits so hopefully the pigeons move on out to a different place. I didn’t have a problem with them, but many residents had lots of feces on their patios, making it dangerous to sit out there!

Cindy Clark took a road trip to Minnesota for a few days to visit her sister, Pat, and a classmate! I’m sure she had a great time!

Our condolences to the family of Diana Simanton who passed away last Monday. She was a very generous friend of many!

My siblings are getting together this coming weekend! I’m excited to see them. I haven’t seen Scott or Dee for a year, and that’s too long!

Congratulations to Kourtney and Tate on their wedding! May they have many happy years together!

Loring Lutheran Church will have services at 9 a.m. on Sunday.

Have a wonderful week!
