One Nation, Under God

Loring/Affinity News for Wednesday, September 25, 2024

Happy fall, y’all! This past week's rain was a welcome surprise in most of Montana. Here in Billings, we got over an inch, and at Loring, it was more like two inches! So welcome! Now the seeding of winter wheat is more promising!

I don’t drive much down here so getting groceries I rely on friends who don’t mind driving me or I order delivery. This last week I had an order from Walmart delivered and was pleasantly surprised when Clay Murdock brought my groceries to the door! He drives and delivers as a second job! Goodness sake, what a surprise!

A friend, Rita Frasure, and I went to the symphony this past Saturday! A cellist, Zlatomir Fung, was the featured highlight and it was excellent!

Get healed-up wishes to Ryan Clark who had his tonsils removed recently! Nana Cindy Clark attended the volleyball games in Malta when the North Country Lady Mavs played the M-Etta’s! Both Mylee and Bryten are on the Mavs! Also playing from Loring are Gracie Wasson and Kennedy Simonson. Good luck, Ladies!

On Wednesday we had a potluck called the Taste of Affinity! We brought dishes we remembered from our childhood. I took a mayonnaise cake with fluffy frosting. Some other dishes were clam chowder, pierogies, Watergate salad, different potato salads, and lemonade.

Have a great week!
