"I knew this match would be our best competition so far in the conference," Coach Wasson said. "Scobey only lost one senior last year who did a little setting for them. They should be the most put-together team so far this season, which proved to be the case. We lost our match in four sets but came away with a lot of knowledge of where to improve our game. We battled hard and had very close sets that could have gone either direction."
In the Lady Mavericks' win over Harlem, the scores were 25-9, 25-23, and 25-23. The stat totals were as follows: Aces: Team 5, Gracie Wasson 2. "I was proud of the way the girls were passing the ball off serve-receive this night," Coach Wasson said. "We are building it up and getting it to become very steady."
This week the Mavericks will travel to Malta on Friday, September 20 to take on the Class B Malta M-ettes and will host Nashua in Whitewater on Saturday, September 21.
