One Nation, Under God
Happy fall! The temperature has been very nice, in the 80’s and high 70’s! In Billings, we had a couple of nice rains, about a tenth or two. We really needed it. And also, a shower up at Loring. Now they are very dry and I’m hoping they get another little shower to get some moisture into the ground before the snow flies.
I heard a chickadee this week and I saw a purple finch taking a bath in the fountain out front! I don’t see that many birds here. But there is a park not too far from here at Affinity with a water feature and some trees and bushes where I might see some birds.
Congrats to the North Country Mavericks Volleyball team on their recent wins. The players from Loring are Kennedy Simonson, Mylee Clark and Gracie Wasson.
Barrett Wasson is participating in Cross Country in Junior High! He is doing well and working on his individual goals!
My granddaughter is playing soccer for the first time! She is learning and gets good playing time! The family makes sure I get to the games which is nice.
This time of the year the bales should be stacked in the hay yards waiting for the winter feeding. The winter wheat is being planted if the farmers want to risk the wrath of winter.
The construction of an addition on Cindy’s home has gotten closer to putting on floor and walls. The cement work is finished. I’m confident the building will be finished before the snow flies!
Have a great week!
