One Nation, Under God

Lloyd M. Kelsey (September 18, 1948-August 29, 2024)

Lloyd M. Kelsey passed away on Thursday, August 29th, in Billings, Montana. Formerly of Zortman, Montana, Lloyd was just shy of celebrating his 76th birthday. We know he is happy to reunite with his parents, Jim and Cora, sister Jean and the love of his life, Mary.

Lloyd was born on September 18th, 1948, to Jim and Cora Kelsey in Malta, Montana. The youngest of three children Lloyd spent his younger years growing up on the family ranch outside of Zortman. He graduated from Malta High School in 1966. He then left home to serve his country by joining the United States Army. Upon his return home he again returned to help at the family ranch as well as working for Pegasus Gold Company. Lloyd married Bonnie Fura in 1982 and became a stepfather to her two children Lori and Clinton (Hopsing). They spent their time hunting, helping at the ranch, and spending time as a family. Lloyd and Bonnie would later divorce. Lloyd would then meet the love of his life Mary and they were joined in marriage in April of 2014. Lloyd and Mary enjoyed many adventures together. They loved camping in the Breaks, spending time with friends and family, dancing, or really any activity that involved spending time together.

Lloyd is preceded in death by his wife Mary, her daughter Debbie Harden, his parents Jim and Cora Kelsey, and sister and brother-in-law Jean and Al Brown.
