Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Sarina Green Venable.
She was the daughter of Jeannie Green and the granddaughter of Sally Austin. When Sarina was in school here in Whitewater, she was a great basketball player. We will miss you, Sarina.
It is September! Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary to all those celebrating, including Irene Wendlyn (my friend). Irene lived in Whitewater for years. Irene and I went to Saco Fun Days. We had a delicious supper, spent the night and watched the parade. It was fun!
We missed the wagon train, but there were riders on horseback, including a trick rider who stood on her horse’s back. Believe it or not, I used to ride horses and could stand on my horses back.
Congratulations to Carli Olsen Simanton who won at a rodeo in South Dakota and to Gray Simanton who won the sheep riding. Good job girls!
Back in Whitewater, congratulations to the athletes who participated in the cross-country activities. Good work!
