A very memorable and unique ceremony was held at Whitewater Lutheran Church on August 31st as Aimee Hammond and Darrel Carney pledged their vows. Family and close friends gave congratulations. They all enjoyed a great reception at the Tin Cup hosted by the Hammond and Carney families.
Seven-year-old Gray Simanton won first place in Mutton Bustin’ last weekend in S. Dakota. Her mother Carli took home a nice jacket for being All Around Top Hand in the same rodeo.
Rory Green celebrated his 15th birthday, son of Dallas and Ashley, at his home south of Whitewater. He, along with Samuel Simonson, play JV football for Malta. Another neighbor, Keenan LaBrie plays varsity. Good Luck this year boys.
Get well wishes go out to Pat, Mrs. Scott Andersons mother of Lewistown and to Diane, Mrs. Don Simanton of Whitewater.
We mourn again with the Austin family with the passing of Sarina Green Venable, the Boschee family with Egan Alan Boschee in a 4-wheeler accident and Missy Boos of Malta.
Zelda Fox has taken leave of her job in Billings to work with her sister Brenda Murdock at the Bill Murdock Ranch. Give credit to these many women who take on this ranch work to keep the business going.
Tasha Math Keller of Custer and her husband Wade and young girl (2) Rains were at grandparents Rena and Bob Math Farms bringing combine parts. The Kellers have three more children at home.
Visitors from France and Sweden came to see their young trainees. Max Vacher, France, who has worked in the area for several years now and another trainees’ parents came to see how farming and ranching are done here. They visited the Hammond and Anderson farms.
I beg to differ from our other area news correspondent. Jeffrey Murdock is an attorney who has lived on the island of Dominica in the West Indies where he has been for 30 yrs with his wife Athlene. Their son Hector Douglas-Murdock lives with his wife and family in Malta. Jeffrey visited area families for two weeks and enjoyed the Levesque\Murdock wedding and the Hammond\Carney wedding.
Kathleen Murdock came from South Dakota with her friend Brad Jorgensen to visit Jeffrey and her mother Pat Murdock. They also took in Saco Fun Days. All have gotten home safely.
