How about that Democratic Convention? It was great. It is sad that President Biden is not running for another term. Thanks, President Joe! The crowd at the convention really gave him a great tribute.

Sympathy to the family of Von Holzhey.

We went to the Sleeping Buffalo on Sunday. There were people from other states in the pool. Then we drove to Lake Nelson Reservoir. It was lovely, peaceful and the water was so calm.

We had lightning and a thunderstorm which rocked the whole valley and lit up the dark sky. Then we had a torrential downpour--a real blessing.

Monday Marsha Barnard and her nephew visited the Whitewater area. They are from south of Malta. They said they have had thunderstorms.

Also, the grasshoppers are eating everything.

School is in full swing. They have a four-day week now, no school on Fridays.

Breakfast and lunch are served by Connie and Christi, who were cooks there before.

A new teacher is coming, but I didn’t hear his name, but welcome to him, and also to all the students and teachers.

There are huge trucks going by the Whitewater, guess they are hauling grain.
