One Nation, Under God
Virginia E. Fewer, age 89, gained her angel wings on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024.
Virginia "Ginny" was born on May 2nd, 1935, to Lars Marius and Hazel (Young) Larsen.
Ginny married the love of her life, Ben Fewer, on March 14, 1954. From this union, they had two daughters, LaVaun and Susan.
Ginny was a housewife and later was known as the "Fabric Lady" at the Ben Franklin Store in Malta for many years and then worked a brief time at Valley Drug, before retiring.
Ginny enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, gardening, crossword puzzles, old country music, and was a 4-H leader for many years. She was a hard-working, caring, spit-fire little lady, who was a bit stubborn and had no problems speaking her mind. She MIGHT have passed that trait down to future generations more than she had anticipated. Ginny was extremely proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, loved them unconditionally and taught them all to stand up for what they believed in.
Ginny is survived by her daughter Susan (Mark) Hungerford; grandchildren Susan (Robert) Twiford, Ted Nelson, Eric (Sarah) Nelson, Troy Nelson, Cindi (Cliff) Salveson and Adam Hungerford; great-grandchildren Caleigh (Gavin) Horn, Rebekah and Aiden Nelson, Corvin and Camri Salveson, Tenlee and Tannon Hungerford; siblings Les Larsen, Sonny (Jeri) Larsen, Jerry (Loretta) Larsen, Rod Larsen, Elaine (Johnny) Lundstrom and half-brother Larry Larsen. Ginny is also survived by a VERY special nurse, Jamie Sanguins, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ginny was preceded in death by her husband Ben, daughter LaVaun Nelson, son-in-law Pete Nelson; grandson Brad Nelson; great-grandson Brady Green; mother Hazel Larsen, father Marius Larsen, stepmother Monna Larsen; sisters Arabelle McMullen, Vera Larsen, Jeanette Rosencrans, stepsister Peg Torstenson, stepbrother Pat Lemieux; special nephews James Fewer and Ben Math.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
