The Malta School Board of Trustees will meet Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. in the Boardroom of the Malta High/Middle School for the purpose of considering and adopting the Final Budget for Malta K-12 School District 14A. The meeting of the Trustees may be continued from day to day until the final adoption of the District's Budget. Any taxpayer in the District may attend the meeting and be heard for or against any part of the budget. This notice is given per the requirements of MCA 20-9-115.

SILENT AUCTION

The City of Chinook is organizing a City Shop Surplus Silent Auction. There will be a public viewing for all items being auctioned on August 21 from

8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

The silent bid starts July 24, 2024, and will end at 12 p.m. on August 30, 2024.

If you are unable to attend the public viewing, you are welcome to visit the City of Chinook Facebook page. Our Facebook page lists pictures of all items being auctioned, along with item numbers.

CITY OF MALTA

PUBLIC HEARING TO APPLY FOR

CDBG GRANT FUNDING

The City of Malta will hold a public hearing on August 13, 2024, at 5:00 pm in the City Hall, 39 S. 2nd Street East. The purpose of the hearing is to obtain public comments regarding the City's overall community development needs (public infrastructure & facilities, economic development, and housing), including the needs of low and moderate-income persons. The City of Malta will also seek the views of citizens on the activities that should be undertaken to meet the identified needs and their relative priority. The City may apply for funding from the Montana Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program (federal funding administered by the Montana Department of Commerce) and other state and federal funding sources to address housing, public facilities, or other community needs. The City wants its residents to comment and offer suggestions for projects to address the most urgent needs. Comments may be given orally at the hearing or submitted in writing by August 13, 2024, at 4:00 pm.
