One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News & Opinion for Wednesday, July 24, 2024

Sympathy to the family and friends of Wilma (McMullen) Mavencamp. She was a sister to Ray McMullen of Whitewater. Wilma and I went to school at Whitewater.

Sympathy to all who have lost someone in 2024.

There was a fundraiser benefit for Steven Johannesen at North 40 Cafe. He was injured in a farm accident.

Folks, especially 4-Hers are preparing animals and entries for the fair. August 1 is entry day. The concert will be on Sat. August 3rd. It is always great.

Note to teens and others who are dating. In 1950 or 1952, if you were seeing someone you wore matching shirts. This would announce to everyone that an engagement is in the works.

Stay cool! It is hot and dry.

*This letter is from Steve Young’s sister.

Steve Young’s sister Nancy and her husband were here visiting Steve and Patty.

Larry and Nancy are both retired from the U.S. Air Force and currently live in Florida.

While they were here, they enjoyed a Senior Meal at the North 40 and also got to attend the benefit held there with the delicious meal prepared for the event.

They had a great visit and shared many laughs and good meals at Patty and Steve’s.

Helen A.
