Malta Swimmers Round Up More Wins

The Malta Swim Team headed down to Roundup on June 29 and June 30 for the last meet before the July 4th holiday. The Malta Six are continuing to place high, get some good competition and gain more experience.

Silas Young once again had the team-leading high with 38 points. He placed first in the Boys 13-14 50 Yard Freestyle and first in the Boys 13-14 100 Yard Breaststroke. He also placed third in the Boys 13-14 200 Freestyle.

Kael Young had the second team-high with 34 points at the Roundup Meet. He ranked second in the Boys 15-19 50 Yard Freestyle and the Boys 15-19 100 Yard Freestyle. He also placed third in the Boys 15-19 50 Fly.

Taking second in the Girls 13-14 200 Yard IM, Taya Wilke scored 32 points overall for the team in Roundup. She also placed second in the Girls 13-14 100 Yard Breaststroke and fifth in the Girls 13-14 50 Yard Freestyle.

Wilke was also on the third place Mixed 15-19 200 Yard Medley Relay along with teammates Danika Wilke, who is also the team coach, Silas Young, and Kael Young.

Jayne Young scored 16 points for the team by placing ninth in the Girls 11-12 50 Yard Freestyle, ninth in the Girls 11-12 50 Yard Breaststoke, and fifth in the Girls 11-12 50 Yard Backstroke.
