One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News & Opinion for Wednesday, July 10, 2024

Happy Birthday to all who are celebrating birthdays in July including, my two daughters Teresa and Gale.

Happy Anniversary to all those celebrating this month.

Sunday, June 30, Whitewater Lutheran Church was honored by a group of singers from the Milk River Gospel Jamboree. They were fantastic!

Beautiful music, it truly was. They were called “Keepers of the Faith”.

The church was packed with people from South Carolina, Seattle, Washington, and more groups from the MRGJ. Chinooks Ken Overcast sang and his granddaughter played the violin. Marvelous music all day long.

A group of us then went to Malta for lunch.

Pastor Bob and Julie went to Seattle, Washington, for their anniversary. They took the Amtrak train, to visit family.

It is a good time to go see a movie at the Villa Theatre. They are opened up and showing movies. Recently the movie “Planet of the Apes” was showing. My son, Mitchell was in California working for a movie

company and he said the apes were all mechanical and were created by computers.

“Hello” to Erna Schlieve, Carol Young, and Lorraine Watson. They were in Whitewater recently. It was good to see them.

We had a nice rain; the grass is green. Did you enjoy the 4th of July?

Now the fair is right around the corner. Time to prepare!

Helen A.
