One Nation, Under God

North Country News for Wednesday, July 10, 2024

Sue Olsen and her sidekick Grey Simanton, along with fair board member Becka Anderson put flowers out at the fairgrounds in Dodson one day last week.

Brent and Debbie Anderson went to Glasgow to help granddaughter Sutton celebrate her 2nd birthday over the 4th of July.

Those of you who didn’t get to the July 3rd rodeo in Hinsdale during Milk River Days missed a “really big show” as Ed Sullivan would say. It is probably one of the most well-attended local rodeos ever. Royce Strobbe won 1st in Breakaway, Rowdy Beil was 1st in Pee Wee barrels. And the crowd roared on Whit Ozark as his team again won the Wild Pony race! The kids are Therese Taylor’s nieces and nephew and Pat Murdock’s great-grandchildren.

Colt Cornfield, the youngest son of Brenda Murdock, turns 23 on July 8th. Happy Birthday.

Many relatives and friends attended the funeral of Clarice Stahl. Her sister Alice Bradshaw and son John from St Lake City. Janet Stahl from Billings. Karen Fafied of Corbolis and Mary Wetzsteon from Hamilton. Also, Mandy and Tatum Moore and children Keno and Katana were guests of the Olsen’s while here for the weekend.

There have been some big rain showers hopping and skipping across the prairie. I hope we don’t get those high temperatures that are being predicted like Nevada, California, and other states across the nation.

If anyone was wondering if Athlete and Jeff Murdock got hit by Beryl. Jeff reported that they survived and only got tailwinds and some damage, luckily it was not a direct hit.
