MSIP, 'Voyagers set on a course'..to avoid Rain!

The Winter's Tale Performance Held at MHS

While the plan was great, Mother Nature again brought up the fact that she was still the one in charge, regardless of how wonderful and relaxing to watch "The Winter's Tale" might have been in Trafton Park. Plan B was activated on Wednesday to accommodate the theatre performance. The decision was made to move the venue to the high school auditorium. It didn't seem to "dampen" the spirits of those attending, as the captivating play props and talented cast of Shakespeare in the Parks enjoyed a wonderful and excellent performance. The impending rain was welcomed on the outside and the audience stayed dry.

Outfitted in proper, fashionable and time-appropriate costumes, the cast did a great job resounding out their lines. The captivating attire was impressionable.

The crowd was not large by any means; though those in attendance enjoyed it enough for what could have been double the attendance. Many had already left town for the long 4th of July weekend.

The community is fortunate to have the fine arts come to Malta. The performances sparked and stimulated the interest of young up-and-coming actors and actresses. The speech department should be expanding in a few years.
