One Nation, Under God

SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARKS COMING TO AMERICAN PRAIRIE FOR FIRST TIME

WHAT: American Prairie is hosting a performance of Hamlet as part of the 52nd season of Montana Shakespeare in the Parks. This is the first time the iconic theatre troupe will be making a stop at American Prairie’s picturesque Antelope Creek Campground.

Hamlet tells the story of the young prince of Denmark who returns home following the sudden death of his father. The most famous ghost story ever told, Hamlet grapples with the weight of his responsibility to avenge his father’s death, to out-maneuver his traitorous uncle, and “to be, or not to be.” With some of Shakespeare’s most memorable lines and iconic characters, audiences won’t want to miss this tale of love and loss, duty vs desire, and the power of performance.

WHO: Montana Shakespeare in the Parks and American Prairie have partnered up for the first time to offer this new location for seeing Hamlet.

WHERE: Antelope Creek Campground, located 5 miles north of the James Kipp Recreation Area on Highway 191. In case you need an alternative address, it is 61080 US Highway S, Zortman, MT. Campsites are still available and reservations can be made online.

WHEN: The performance starts at 6:30pm. It is free and open to the public. Audiences are encouraged to bring a picnic and chairs to enjoy an evening together among friends and neighbors.
