One Nation, Under God
Again, the community mourns the passing of a friend, Clarice Stahl. Mother of Sue Olsen and Wade and Kenny Stahl. She was a strong, caring woman of many talents. Words can’t begin to describe her good deeds.
On a happier note, there was a nice get-together at the North 40 in Whitewater. A visit with out-of-town guests who grew up here. Jan Donavan from Texas and her sister Kay Cavanaugh. They, along with their parents Arlene and Lyle and brothers Dale and Dennis Donavan lived at the Olsen Farm.
Thank you, Joyce (Austin) Donavan for hosting. Other guests were her sisters Janice and Julie, her mother, Pat Murdock, Margie Olsen, Joann Hammond, Lexie Haynes, JW Murdock, Sue Olsen, and a lady friend from Turner.
Kay, Joyce, Jamie, Joann and Lexie got to revisit their first state basketball tournament. It was also Jans birthday (which one I won’t say).
Bri Anderson and Aimee Hammond were host parents for the Cross Country 4-H Club in Whitewater on Sunday. Still going strong.
Sally Austin, JW Murdock, Therese Taylor, Lexie Haynes, Royce Strobbe, and Pat Murdock were just a few of the friends who attended the service at the VFW in Malta, for a dear friend on Thursday. Bon Voyage, Bruce, until we see you again.
Sunday was 90° and windy again. I hope those showers keep coming. We did get a good soak on Friday.
