Roster Includes Recording Artist Sherry Anne on Her 2024 Praise Hymn Tour
After a warm debut welcome at the Milk River Gospel Jamboree last year is Sherry Anne, a Billboard-charting artist, award-winning songwriter, and author Sherry Anne is returning for the June 28-30, 2024 Milk River Gospel Jamboree in Malta, Montana, as part of her 2024 “Praise Hymn” tour. The Milk River Gospel Jamboree features three days of Gospel, Country Gospel, and Bluegrass music by singers and groups from the U.S. and Canada.
Sherry Anne has recently returned from Louisiana where she filmed music videos for songs on her latest music album “Hymns” at the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium where Elvis made his singing debut and at the “Steel Magnolias House” in Natchitoches where the movie of the same name was filmed.
Born partially deaf and with a speech impairment, today Sherry Anne sings and speaks with an elegant voice to share her inspirational and relatable story of overcoming obstacles and challenges in life to help anyone facing such struggles. Along with Sherry Anne, the 2024 Milk River Gospel Jamboree artists line-up includes New Covenant Quartet from Manitoba with an Elvis connection of their own and a Southern Gospel-style of soul-reviving music that they share in support of mental health programming.
Canada’s award-winning Double Portion family group from North Battleford, Saskatchewan, is a Milk River Gospel Jamboree favorite family group with multiple Canadian Gospel Music Association awards for Album, Song and Live Band of the Year.
The Last Mountain Boys, a Southern Gospel trio from Strasbourg, Saskatchewan, have appeared in venues from the Canadian National Quartet Convention to prairieland churches and rural community halls.
Singer-songwriter and pastor Mark Umfleet from Forsyth, Montana, leads The Door “back roads” ministry taking the Gospel message and music to rural communities across Montana.
Keepers of the Faith is perhaps the most diverse Southern Gospel quartet with a unique deep south island style that they have shared from more than 20 years, from their start as music ministry visiting prisons and hospitals to now touring from their home in Washington State,
Will Rogers Award winner Ken Overcast is a third-generation Montana, a working rancher, co-writer of Montana’s Official State Lullaby, and an award-winning singer and author known as “The Last of the Real Singing Cowboys.” Ken brings a program of songs, stories, humor and faith to the 2024 Milk River Gospel Jamboree.
The Milk River Gospel Jamboree is held at the Malta High School Auditorium. Admission is free; donations appreciated for concerts and meals; an offering hat is passed once each day. The schedule includes a Friday meal served at 5 p.m. and concert 6:00 to 9:15 p.m .; Saturday concerts from 1-5:30 p.m. and 6:30-8:05 p.m. with an evening meal served at 5:30 p.m .; and Sunday midday meal served at 11:30 a.m. followed by concert 1:00-4:40 p.m.
The Milk River Gospel Jamboree is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit volunteer organization created to bring Gospel music to the north-central Montana area.
