June 5, 2024

Oh my gosh! It’s June already! Halfway through 2024! The raised gardens are looking really lush! I have two tomatoes, radishes, and a few flowers. Some gardens are planted in rows that are very close together, but they look like every seed came up! One garden has a bunch of potatoes, one has lots of irises, onions, peas, and mounds of cucumbers!

Cindy Clark attended the Montana Synod assembly in Billings this past weekend. It was fun to have a houseguest for a few nights! My sister made dinner for the three of us on Thursday!

Deepest sympathy to the Dunbar and Allery families on the passing of Barb Dunbar. She was a wonderful nurse and administrator!

Three friends and I went to Laurel Golf Course for breakfast on Wednesday. Then we drove to Columbus, Nye, Fishtail, Absarokee, Red Lodge, Roberts, and back to Billings! The rock formations were very interesting. We stopped at Beehive access and Swallow Cliff access along the west fork of the Stillwater. It was a perfect day! We stopped at Fishtail’s store which has everything! We also stopped at the Amish store at Roberts! A wonderful day of comradery and scenery!

A friend had been listening to my sight woes and she said her grandma had similar problems. She had a big machine that had strong light and magnification which shows up on a screen. My friend Linda asked her siblings about it and then brought it to my apartment. They were glad to have someone else use it! Brentton set it up and it works great! I’m so thankful to Linda and her family! I can read the directions on cake boxes and medicine bottles! Along with the newspaper!

No services at Loring Lutheran Church on the 16, but there will be services on the 23.

The town of Loring looks so good, green and mowed up! Thank you, Cindy Clark!

The night hawks are back making friends with Cindy. Her bedroom addition is progressing little by little.

Twilla Johannesen updated me on Steven’s progress at the burn center in SLC. His hands and arms are getting new skin. The burned skin is still being abraded to help the new skin to grow back. She said he still has his sense of humor. We wish him a speedy and complete recovery.
