NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED FY24 BUDGET AMENDMENT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners of Phillips County, Montana, intend to amend the budget for the 2024 fiscal year and that said budget amendment affects the following functions: Local Bridge and Road Fund, Sheriff, Oil & Gas, Aging, General Nurse and PILT.
The purposed amendment will be due to the unanticipated revenue received from the State and Federal government and other grants. Details are open to public inspection in the office of the County Clerk, 314 S 2nd Ave W, Malta, Montana.
The Board will meet on the 3rd day of June, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. for the purpose of holding a public hearing and consideration of the amendment to the original budget. Said hearing is to be held in the Commissioners’ Office in the Phillips County Courthouse, 314 S 2nd Ave W, Malta, Montana.
Any taxpayer or resident may appear at the hearing and will be heard for or against any part of the proposed budget amendments.

Written comments are encouraged and will be reviewed by the Commissioners if received by the Phillips County Commissioners’ Office at least three business days prior to the hearing.

EARLY PUBLIC NOTICE FOR FLOODPLAINS AND/OR WETLANDS TOWN OF DODSON, MONTANA
May 22, 2024
The Town of Dodson, Montana, is considering a Water System Improvements Project as a CDBG project under the Montana CDBG program. Located in the incorporated boundary of the Town of Dodson and the area to the north including the wells, pumphouse, tank and transmission main that are part of the project scope. Specifically, township 31 North, Range 27 East, Section 32 or 48°23'44" North Latitude, 108°14'40" West Longitude, totaling approximately 1,612 acres of floodplain involved as a CDBG project under the Montana CDBG program. The project is located in the 100 year floodplain and/or wetland. The Town of Dodson is interested in discussing alternatives to this project and receiving public comment regarding possible adverse impacts that could result from the project and suggestions for how to mitigate them. A public hearing is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 3rd, 2024, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Hall, located at 225 2nd Street E in Dodson, to discuss the proposed project.
