One Nation, Under God
Happy Mother’s Day to all of you! What an expressive light show the Aurora Borealis put on for practically the whole country! Tina Russel posted pictures of it and her house close to Pensacola, FL. Jana (Wisher) Biddy posted pictures of the lights in Georgia! So, I’m sure they were further south than normal! I did not see them but enjoyed it vicariously through the many pictures posted on Facebook!
Congratulations to Casandra and Levi Harms on the birth of their baby boy, Justin Edward. He was born March 30 and weighed in at 8 pounds 5 ounces and 19.5” long. I’m so sorry I didn’t see the announcement earlier, but welcome to the world, Little One!
David, Brandie and Rocco took me out for brunch for Mother's Day. It was at Phatties on Grand. While we were in line a young lady approached me and asked if I was from Malta. I said I was, and she introduced herself as Genevieve Ziegler! Her young daughter was with her, and I found out that she modeled for the fundraiser-style show from Family Matters just last week.
Small world! By the way, the food was delicious!
The Clark’s spent the weekend at Kipp Park on the Missouri River! Cindy said the Aurora Borealis was beautiful down there too!
I got to attend the spring concert of the third graders at Elder Grove School where my granddaughter, Zoey attends! It was very nice to see the musical about the sneaky African Spider, Anansi!
I had the pleasure of spending a few hours with Jimmy and Nancy Murdock this week. Jimmy asked me about the people that lived in Loring when I was a kid. Whew, what a stretch for my brain!
I loved the rain this week! I planted my tomatoes and cucumber on my little farm. Now as the soil dries, I need to remember to water them! I think there are 50 little plots of raised garden beds, and they are all spoken for! Oh, I had two Mallard ducks waddle by this week! I had to take a double look, but yup, a pair of mallards! Along with the cottontail family, it’s almost like living in the country!
Have a great newsworthy week!
