One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News & Opinion for Wednesday, March 6, 2024

Again, sympathy to the family and friends of Ree Simonson, a lifelong resident of Whitewater. She recently moved to Malta. There was a wake rather than a funeral service at the Whitewater Lutheran Church and lunch followed. The next day, there was a large funeral service in Malta followed by dinner. Ree was my friend, and she will be missed by all.

The Whitewater Penguins/Mavericks basketball teams went to tournament games. They were held in Glasgow. Many from the area attended the games. Good luck to all teams.

Many of the Olsen family were here for Ree Simonson's funeral. These included her daughter Tessa, her two children, and Carolyn and her family from Idaho.

The weather today is cold. The snow melted, but froze, so it is icy. Be careful when walking or driving.

Most ranchers are gearing up for calving. Let’s hope the weather is good.

Best of luck to all.

Get well wishes to Diane Simonton and all who are sick.

North 40 Café has a library which has a variety of books. Help yourself.

Thanks to painter Dixie Stordahl for the cute picture of snowmen she gave me.

Also, thanks to the Whitewater School for the delicious cookies. Sammie Wisher brought them to me.

Think Spring!

Thanks to all who have helped me,

Helen A.
