One Nation, Under God

Loring News for Wednesday, February 21, 2024

Congrats to the North Country Lady Mavericks and the M-ettes and Mustangs on their championships at their individual District tournaments! Also, congrats to the North Country Mavericks on their 3rd place finish and the right to go to divisional!

I made the trip north on Sunday and we saw about 50 hawks on the power poles! It is a sign of spring! We also saw two bald eagles! Jeanie Green reported that she heard a meadowlark already! And I’m assuming that the geese are in at the Austin place. It seems that winter was short, but I’m not sure it’s over yet!

Lu Besel and Jeanie Green were guests of Cindy Clark for an After Valentine's Day luncheon. The report was the decorations were wonderful, the food marvelous and the conversation enlightening!

The Blunts went skiing at Showdown for the weekend! They joined up with the Norville’s and Slade’s and had a great time! Dottie stayed with Papa Pete and Nana Carol! They held the fort down!

Carol Lumsden, Elizabeth Stickley, and Jenny Oxarart were guests of Nancy Murdock for a wine-tasting class!

Mike Briggs of Billings, drove up to visit with the Lumsdens for a few days.

Have a great week!
