One Nation, Under God

Loring News for Wednesday, February 7, 2024

Since I’ve been living in Billings for three months now, I have been keeping track of weather at Loring through my friends in Loring. They have told me about the thick fog for about a week or so and posted pictures of the beautiful frost on the trees, etc. but now I can report to them that Billings has very thick fog this morning! The other wing of the building is barely visible to me!

Nancy Murdock was down on Friday. We had such a fun visit and lunch at City Vineyard!

On Thursday afternoons, Affinity sponsors Trivia. Usually about 10 people participate. The teams are men vs women, but the men usually don’t have as many as the women, so one or two of the women go to their side. This last time, all the questions were about February and holidays or happenings during the month. I want to give a shout out to Carol Lumsden because I knew all the answers to the Mardi Gras questions! She always held a Mardi Gras party in her French class! The guys were happy to have me on their team, even though I didn’t know who the quarterbacks were in the Super Bowl!

Cindy Clark took in the Honors Band and Choir concert in Glasgow on Monday! It’s always amazing how so many musicians who have never played together can perform such beautiful music!

I’m worried about some of my friends who live in the Los Angeles area with all the flash flooding going on now. Shout out to Lorna Knudsen and Tim Abney! Hope you and yours are safe!

Until next week!
