Stiffarm's 20-Double leads Coyotes to Win over Frazer

The Dodson basketball teams faced Frazer and Lustre to kick off the new year.

The Coyotes picked up a 75-48 win over the Frazer Bearcubs on Saturday, January 6, but fell 83-28 to the Lustre Christian Lions on Friday, January 5.

The Lady Coyotes fell 71-56 to Frazer and 69-27 to Lustre.

In the boys' win over Frazer, the Coyotes led wire-to-wire, which was spearheaded by a 29-13 lead that they gained in the first quarter.

Junior Stiffarm had a double-20 consisting of 24 points and 23 rebounds. Stiffarm also had eight steals, six assists, and three blocks. Donovan Posey had a 16 point, 10 rebound double-double, four assists, and two steals. Sebastian Best had a 14 point,15 rebound double-double. Lance KillEagle had seven points. Frank Cole had seven points and eight rebounds. Jakobe Heminger had seven points.

In the Coyotes' loss to Frazer, Stiffarm had 13 points. Heminger had four points and four rebounds. Posey had four points. Cole had three points. Best had two points and five rebounds.

In the Lady Coyotes' loss to Frazer, Kataya KillEagle had a 28 point, 12 rebound double-double, and three assists. Jazlyn KillEagle had 11 points and four assists. Baylee Johnson had 10 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Amara Cochran had four points and six rebounds. Lily Turnsplenty had two points and four rebounds. Precious Stiffarm had one point and three rebounds.

In the Lady Coyotes' loss to Lustre, KillEagle had 14 points. Cochran had four points. Johnson, J. KillEagle and Turnsplenty each had three points.

Dodson will travel to Box Elder to face the Bears on Friday, January 12. The Lady Coyotes play at 5 p.m. and the Coyotes at 6:30 p.m. The teams will then host the Circle Wildcats on Saturday, January 13. The Lady Coyotes play at 4 p.m. and the Coyotes play at 5:30 p.m.
