2023 Malta Dirt Daubers Christmas Barrel Winners

For the past many years, the Malta Dirt Daubers Garden Club has sponsored "The Christmas Merchant Barrel Decorating Contest" This year there were many beautifully decorated barrels. The judges had a hard time picking the winners.

First Place was awarded to the Liquor Haven for their entry "Tipsy-Ho, Ho and a bottle of Merlot". The entry was made by Scott and Gina Simanton and Jessica Robinson. The $100 gift certificate was donated by Westside Self-Service.

Second place went to The Edgewater Inn for their "Ginger Bread House and Cupcake. The decorations were from all recycled material and assembled by Nancy Knudsen. The $75 gift certificate was donated by Tin Cup Bar & Grill.

There was a tie for third. The Phillips County Nurse's entry "Letters to the North Pole" was made by Kayla Young, Dixie Moore, Jennifer Tollefson and Tasha Hines. They received a $50 gift certificate from the Malta Dirt Daubers Garden Club. The second, third-place winner was Malta Opportunities for their "Gnome Santa Claus" barrel. This includes Kris Boothe, Sebrina Gregory, David Veseth, Holly Wagner and Amanda Jones and Kathy Ereaux. They received a $50 gift certificate from the Malta Dairy Queen. Thanks to all merchants who decorated their barrels, they were very festive for Christmas!
