One Nation, Under God
This is the week before Christmas, and here at Affinity, every day has special themed activities for us to do. On Friday is a Paint with Dixie. We’ll be painting a wreath. Hope it turns out! I’ve been taking advantage of the pool and hot tub here to get some exercise.
I know some people in Loring are baking up a storm and sharing their wares. Brandie Stordahl and I baked a couple of yummy snacks on Sunday. I’ll take some cookies down to the community room for whoever would like a cookie with their coffee.
Gale Simonson and Cindy Clark made krumkake on Monday and then shared a meal of lutefisk.
Many Loringites attended the Christmas concert at the Whitewater School on Thursday! Rana Jesson videoed it and many people, like me, thoroughly enjoyed it from far away! Technology also let my sisters and I enjoy listening to the ASU graduation where our Great nephew sang the National anthem and the school’s fight song! Corbin Cowan was awesome!
Debbie Richau and I went out to check out the Christmas light displays around Billings! Many houses have elaborate displays and some are even coordinated with music that you can get on your radio in the car! We were not the only ones out and about! Many cars lined the streets! I know there are similar displays in the Malta area, too.
The weather has been unseasonably warm this December. Temperatures are in the 50’s and high 40’s! Snow will come in January, so we better be ready! At least it will be a shorter winter than last year! The first day of winter starts on Thursday. The sun starts its journey back north.
Merry Christmas, everyone!
