One Nation, Under God

Gladys M. Carnahan (January 11, 1937 - November 9, 2023)

Gladys M. Carnahan, 86, of Lewistown, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the Riverstone Hospice House in Billings with her daughter by her side. She was born to her parents Walter and Lillian Jefcoat on January 11, 1937, in Durango, Colorado.

Gladys married Jerry Maloney in 1953. They had six children together.

She married Gene Carnahan on October 16, 2004. Gene always called her "My Lady".

Gladys was a hard-working woman, compassionate, loving and always giving. Being addicted to cleanliness we always kidded her about being a drill sergeant giving everything the "White Glove Treatment"! Gerald says she'd be the one with the scrub brush in one hand and a bottle of Pine Sol in the other, scrubbing the Stairway to Heaven!

Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Carnahan, on November 22, 2022, grandson Chris Maloney, granddaughter Jessica Norman and daughter-in-law, Pam.

She is survived by her children Denise (Bruce) Boothe, Jim, Gene (Sheila), Debra (Tom) Brady, Gerald and his ranching partner, Melody Harding, and Mike.

Grandchildren surviving are BJ and Blaine Boothe, Janiece, Jeffrey, and Christian Maloney, Amber Engler. Great-grandchildren are Giada and Lily Maloney, Logan Strom and Archer Maloney.

Please read Proverbs 31:10-31.

Memorials may be made in her name to the Riverstone Hospice House, 123 S. 27th St., Billings, Mont., 59101; The Caslen Assisted Living in Lewistown, 221 McKinley St., Lewistown, Mont., 59457 or the charity of your choice. Tip your waitresses and think of Gladys!

No services are planned per Mom's request. She will rest in peace at the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Great Falls, Mont.

The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family. Condolences for the family may be posted online at http://www.cloydfuneralhome.com.
