One Nation, Under God
We have been having some pretty good weather-----couple of little showers------a beautiful sunset on Sunday evening.
Dora Henry had visitors this week, daughters of Elmer's, Sgt in the Marine Corps all through Iwo Jima and their occupation of Japan following World War II. Vicky and her husband were from Novi, MI, Rosalinda and Cristy from the Chicago area and Heather from St. Louis. It is so nice that their friendship has lasted so long, and they stopped on their trip west.
Loretta Nordland visited Polly Solberg's on Sunday.
Teri and Asher Leys, and their nephew of Choteau visited Dora Henry's and helped her pack away some more household to take to Choteau. Many years of too much stuff saved, we're finding out. Thanks to the Stiffarm boys for coming over and helping load some furniture and heavier items. We appreciate all of you.
Many from the Dodson area enjoyed the program in Malta on Saturday honoring some of the very early settlers of Phillips County.
All that I talked to praised hearing of “long times ago" from families still living in Phillips County.
Too bad the Bozeman Cats lost the game to South Dakota on Saturday. They have been playing some really good ball and this game was no exception. Always the chance another team will play better though. South Dakota was the higher-ranked team.
Best wishes and congratulations to all celebrating a birthday or anniversary this week.
How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant of the weak and the strong -----because someday in life you will be all of these.
Have a wonderful week.
