One Nation, Under God
The Fair has been in full swing, and I have even enjoyed some of the concerts sitting on my back porch. Congratulations to all the ribbons and awards the kids received. They work long and hard with the animals and do a good job. And of course, the Indian Relay Races are always so nice to watch and enjoy.
Velyma Broadhead returned home from hot Arizona and other places on Sunday evening. She said Arizona was really hot and dry, with no rain since May.
Guests staying at the home of Polly Solberg while here visiting relatives and enjoying the fair were Karen and Alicia Allery from Glendive, and Tammy Singler from Staten Island, NY. Also visiting were Larry Solberg and Elaine and Conner Brophy from Glendive.
Sunday get-together for all the relatives were Tim and Vivian Bruckner: Elaine, Conner, Katie, & Jayden Brophy; Karen and Alicia Allery from Glendive and Tammy Singler from New York.
The days have been hot, but we had a quick, short, refreshing shower on Saturday afternoon.
Congratulations and good wishes to all who shared a birthday or an anniversary this week. Both my son, Steve, and my daughter Shirley had birthdays this week also. I feel old enough but when my kids start adding the years---I’m really old.
Do you know what a dirty old man is? A middle-aged father with three daughters and one bathroom.
A retired husband is a wife’s full-time job.
Have a wonderful week, count your blessings, and smile.
