Malta Public Schools is seeking applicants for School Route Bus Drivers, including substitute bus drivers. Successful applicants will be hired upon approval of a satisfactory background check and a clean pre-employment drug test. Random drug testing is required after hire.

Bus Driver Requirements:

Montana Driver’s License in good standing for E-Class buses (Ford Expedition)

CDL in good standing with school bus and passenger bus endorsements for regular school buses

15 hours annual bus driver training

CPR/First Aid certification

Medical Examiners Certificate

Clean driving record

Clean background check

Random drug testing

FULL-TIME DEPUTY SHERIFF

The Phillips County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications to create a hiring pool from which successful applicants will be chosen to fill vacancies. We currently have one opening for a FULL-TIME DEPUTY SHERIFF. Applications will be accepted through July 26, 2023.

Duties for a Deputy Sheriff include crime prevention, investigating crimes, traffic patrol, drug

interdiction, among other law enforcement-related duties. Applicants must possess the following

qualifications:

Must be a United States citizen

Must have a High School diploma or GED

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must possess or be eligible to obtain a Montana Driver's License

Must not have a felony conviction

Must be of good moral character as determined by a thorough background investigation

Must pass medical and mental health evaluations

Possession of current P.O.S.T. Basic certification preferred but not necessary to apply. Within one year

of hire, must be able to successfully complete the MLEA Basic course and receive P.O.S.T. Basic

certification. Applicants will be expected to travel to Malta, MT for psychological testing as well as

interviews.

Benefits include 100% premiums paid for medical insurance for employee and family, vacation/sick pay,

and annual longevity pay increases. Starting wage is $20.49/hour with 5% increase upon successful

completion of one year of probation.

The Northern Wyoming News, a weekly newspaper in Worland, Wyoming, is seeking a community-focused reporter interested in government, feature and general news writing to become part of a great editorial team.

The ideal candidate will be committed to excellent writing and accurate reporting while covering Washakie County and the Big Horn Basin.

This job encompasses a variety of responsibilities including, but not limited to, generating own story ideas, reporting, writing, and photography. The position will involve evening and weekend work and some travel. A reliable vehicle and driver’s license are required.

Preferred requirements: High School diploma and good comprehension of the English language. Writing/photography experience preferred, but will train the right person.
