Sally Austin and Pat Murdock were in Saco on July 1st to pay respects to Darlene Soennichsen Arnold who passed away this spring. She was the sister to Carol Pippin. Pat also got to visit with her grandnephew Casey Alex Valez, grandson of Darlene. He resides in Kalispell.
Visitors at the Brent and Debbie Anderson Ranch on the 3rd and 4th were Debbie's Mother Judy and Bill Bennett of Texas. They also visited with her son Bob Math and his sons Kevin and Cody families. Then they were off to Helena to visit Jenna, Troy, Sienna, and Stryker Simanton.
Bruce and Lynn Hill were in Seely Lake a while back to meet with family for a reunion. Their children, Joel from Mississippi, Wendy and Mike from Great Falls and Heidi from Texas, and other relatives from Idaho and Indiana. They had a grand time.
One of Anderson’s farm hands, Phillip, had family come from Sweden to visit their son and tour the western U.S.
Montana has a lot to offer visitors this year with all the rain. Much different from the last few years when the drought and grasshoppers destroyed everything in sight.
One day it was 90º, the next day 70º, then 60º, then it got down to the 40s a couple of nights. It was a cool 4th of July. Not much fun for those at Nelson Reservoir. But the Sleeping Buffalo has a warm pool and a hot spring tub.
Carolyn Olsen Barnard, her daughter Maggie and Brent Billings, and boys Darius 4, Torin 2 from Moscow, Idaho arrived at Margie Olsen’s Sunday evening. They stayed a few days to visit with family.
Farmers and ranchers are cutting their best hay crops in years, hoping machines and their operators can keep up.
Calli Cox Lear and her husband Derek from Lewistown came to help Clinton and Denise Cox do some haying on Frenchman Creek. Their two children are Parker, six, and Kru, four.
Jace and Shae Anderson’s little girl Sutton turned one and had a cowgirl rodeo birthday party on July 9th.
Cody and Michele Math’s daughter Audree turned nine on July 9th as well.
