One Nation, Under God
Whitney Blunt has decided to not be the postmaster in Loring anymore. We all wish her the best for the future! Sarah Skubina will be the new mail handler. We welcome her.
The gophers are taking over my yard! I have holes everywhere in the lawn and flower bed! They are on the deck even! Buster chases them, but never catches them! Gotta get my .22 out I guess.
The milkweed is blooming along the highway. The blossoms are so big this year! I appreciate that the person who is doing the swathing left a few patches for the butterflies!
Carol Lumsden stopped in to see me on Thursday. Buster settled down right away and slept by her chair!
Cindy Clark and I took in the play at the Fort Peck Theater on Sunday. Murder on the Orient Express was very entertaining! I love the way the scenery or set changes happen! It’s almost like a choreographed dance! We stopped at the camper to visit the Kenny Clark family. Mylee and Bryten Clark have been staying in Fort Peck to practice for the play Matilda and work on sets and props! Cindy hadn’t seen them for about a month, so they had lots to talk about!
The grass is maturing and swathing is in full swing! There are bales in places that have never been baled before! It’s a sight to see all the thick swathes and bales in the field!
Gene Compton stopped in at the Loring church on Sunday to wish Whitney Blunt happy “retirement”. Carol Lumsden brought coffee and snacks.
Don’t forget to take in the Wine and Dino celebration on Saturday! Kids Dino activities at 11-1 at the GPDM,
The town of Loring looks great with the grass all mowed! Cindy has started watering the park now, but the little showers have been good too!
