One Nation, Under God
The days are getting longer! Just a part of the cycle around the sun! The goldfinches flew in during the week! I was thankful that I had picked up some sunflower seeds to fill the feeders! They are so brightly colored and their little voices are so cheerful! Also, the flycatchers are busy incubating their eggs! I haven’t checked the number of eggs, but I’m thinking five. The sweet peas are back in abundance also! Big patches of bright yellow all over the hillsides!
The smoky skies have been bothersome to me! The fires are in Alberta and British Columbia! I don’t like the smoky skies but I bet the people who live near the fires must be really worried!
Congratulations to all the graduates! Whitewater and Malta both held ceremonies this weekend. Mylee Clark graduated from eighth grade in Whitewater. Her Grandpa Bud Erfle, Grandma Janice Erfle, Nana Cindy Clark, Auntie Becca, and Uncle Robert were special guests of the Clarks. Also, Tracy Hanley, Hannah, Ava, and Austin were guests! On Saturday the kids played in the Loring Lake with their paddle boards! No one complained about being chilly.
Not only graduation for Mylee but also confirmation! We celebrated her accomplishment at church with cake after the ceremony. Congratulations, Mylee!
The Whitewater track team competed in the Divisional track meet in Lambert on Thursday.
The smoke was so thick the start time was set back til 2 in the afternoon. Everyone did very well. Several records were broken and personal bests! All the girl’s team members qualified for state! Good luck to them in Laurel next week!
Condolences to the Murdock family on the loss of Bill. The celebration of life will be held Tuesday. So sorry, Brenda and Zelda.
Be safe, my friends!
