FT DITCH RIDER

The Malta Irrigation District is seeking to fill one (1) Ditch Rider position.

This position is permanent full-time with health care benefits, including pension. Applicants must have the desire and ability to perform a wide variety of skilled duties associated with the operation and maintenance of the Malta Irrigation District’s water distribution system.

This includes the patrolling, regulating and documentation of water usage; performing related duties and responsibilities as assigned; and performing work in the operation and use of construction equipment in support of activities related to construction, maintenance, and repair of the District’s water systems. Must be able to work some overtime and weekends, especially during the irrigation season and be on call for emergencies. Must also have or be able to obtain a Class A drivers’ license within the first year of employment. Applicant will also be required to pass a drug screening.
