One Nation, Under God

Whitewater News & Opinion for Wednesday, April 5, 2023

Sincere sympathy to the families of the latest shooting. Horrible. When are we getting gun control?

Back in Montana-sympathy to the family of Ben Math, who passed away recently. Ben was a farmer/rancher of North Whitewater, until his retirement, then he moved to Fort Peck. Ben’s son and daughter, Deb Anderson, live north of Whitewater.

Here’s some good news, a new arrival for Mr. And Mrs. Kenny Reichelt of Colorado, a baby boy. Congratulations to them! Kenny was raised in Whitewater and the baby’s mom is from Africa. The baby joins a big sister at home.

Some from Whitewater attended Ag Day in Malta. Sue Olson of Whitewater won the pie baking contest. Congrats to her and all participants.

It is April! Should be spring, but we still have snow, ice, and cold weather.

Anyway, Happy Birthday to those who are celebrating birthdays including Dallas and Jeanie Green and yours truly (me). Also, congratulations to those celebrating anniversaries in April.

My cousin Ray Austin called me, he lives in Seattle Washington. He still can’t believe we still have snow and winter weather.

Happy Easter to all! Go to church, dye some eggs. If you have eggs left over, make egg salad sandwiches or deviled eggs. YUM!

From my living room window, I can see the cross on the Lutheran Church. It lights up at night. It is so pretty and a great reminder of Easter year-round.

God Bless!

Helen A.
