One Nation, Under God
Damien Austin & Dixie Stordahl, board members of the Great Plains Dinosaur Museum just returned from visiting the Phillip & Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Miami where Cary Woodruff, former Paleontologist of GPDM, has taken a position as the first Curator of Paleontology at The Frost.
The facility has beautiful replicas but no real fossils. The prep lab under Woodruff has not been completed yet, but it will be top-notch, with the ability to prep fossils from wherever. And the fossil from Phillips County will be its initial study and prep.
GPDM houses some world-class fossils, not to mention Leonardo, with most found here in the county. This will be a very exciting summer for the museum which opens on May 1st, stay tuned for further announcements.
