I've Been Lucky Enough to Have Seen a Few

The Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks inform me regularly when lion hunting season closes in each district.

I don’t hunt mountain lions, but I like living in a state where I could if I wanted.

And I like knowing they’re there.

I used to think lions in Montana were limited to the mountainous regions of the state, hence the name, but I’ve since discovered that’s not the case.
