One Nation, Under God
Dear Editor,
I am writing to you to inform the public on two bills protecting kids that are going through the MT legislature right now and need urgent attention.
For those constituents of Representative Casey Knudsen, I ask that you contact him, let him know you are his constituent, and ask him to vote yes to HB234.
This bill will remove public schools from an obscenity exemption clause. Currently if you provide obscene material to kids on the street, you will be in legal trouble. If you are a teacher or librarian inside a public school, that same material can be given, and you are untouchable.
This is not a local fix, as parents across MT have gone to administrators and school boards showing what is actually in MT schools, and they are ignored.
Legislators put this exemption into law, and they need to be the ones to remove it. Please contact Rep. Knudsen TODAY and let him know what you think. So far he has not been on board to vote for this and needs your help convincing him.
Also, please contact Senator Mike Lang if you are his constituent, and ask him to vote YES SB99. This bill would ban puberty blockers, cross sex hormones, and transgender surgeries for MINORS.
Medical organizations and hospitals are fighting this bill because they make a ton of money off these kids.
They use emotional manipulation based off weak, poorly done research to convince parents they must have their kids do these things or they will commit suicide.
This is false. Studies show where these treatments are readily available to kids, suicide rates go up.
Kids brains are not fully developed until age 25, so as minors are not capable of making decisions that will provide irreversible damage to their bodies.
Sweden, Finland, U.K. and others have admitted this care is harmful and are reversing recommendations.
Your voice will make a difference. Legislators want to hear from you on issues. Please contact them today to help make a difference for MT kids.
Thank you,
Jessie Browning
