Ainsley Erickson, 6th grade, donated a beautiful platter of treats for Holiday Bingo on the 13th. She broke out The Measure.
Brooklynn Perkins, 5th grade, was a great helper for bingo night. She served the community members with a hot beverage and a treat. She chose the book The Trouble with Tuck.
Fishing on Thin Ice was the book Bryten Christopherson, 3rd grade, had his eyes on since he found out about the Jail Break! He brought in delicious cookies for the attendees to enjoy.
Who is this mysterious 8th grade girl who broke out Wrong Place Wrong Time? I hope she isn't the ONLY 8th grade girl, because that would give her identity away. Her mom made a delicious pie for the Holiday Bingo night!
Kacey Sunford, 3rd grade, broke out The Pigeon Will Ride the Roller Coaster for her breakout book after bringing in some great cherry cheesecake bites.
Kadin Salveson, 3rd grade, put his mother to work making her signature monster cookies for Holiday Bingo. He chose wisely by picking What Pet Should I Get?
Teagan Erickson, 11th grade, chose All Good People Here for her book to break out of "book jail." She also brought in a beautiful platter of treats for Holiday Bingo.
Trey Downing, 5th grade, brought in the gooiest rice crispy treats that went over so well at Holiday Bingo. He decided to release the book As Good As Dead which now completes the series we have in the library.
It has been a couple of busy weeks for our little community. Basketball games, bingo nights, music concerts, the list keeps going.
I want to give proper recognition to the kids that are breaking books out of "book jail" and volunteering their time outside of the classroom.
These last two weeks Saco's Pep Club hosted bingo on two separate occasions, but the 13th was especially fun.
The attendees were able to win homemade goodies made from kids of the student body if they won the bingo game. We also had goody bags from Julia's Junque added to the prize selections. When the students donate their time or a treat they get to break a book out of jail.
Below are the students who have done just that these last couple of weeks. Fun, new books are being ordered for the next round of bingo nights.
Please join us for bingo @ the school on January 12th and 19th and then again on February 9th--5:30 p.m. in the school library.
